Who can resist a tag with Harry Potter in the title? Certainly not me! I was tagged by driftinglexi. She runs a make up and book blog. (Check out her nail gallery. OMG, people. HP nails!!)
Flagrate: A book that you found interesting that you would like to rewrite.
Two came to mind for this and the reasons for both are the same, they’re too short. Both have interesting worldbuilding done, but it only scratches the surface and I would love to delve in deeper.
Alohomora: The first book in a series which got you hooked.
Oh, wow, this is a tricky one. I’m trying to think of some series that I’ve read recently. Oh! I KNOW! Rosemary and rue by Seanan McGuire. (How could I forget? I’m reading the second one right now!)
It was the first urban fantasy book I’ve read and I LOVED it! Such a great cast of characters and loads of mystery leaving you desperate for the next one.
Accio: A book you wish you could have right now.
I always find it incredibly difficult to hunt down upcoming releases, but one release I’m really looking forward to is… Infernal ties by Holly Evans. It’s urban fantasy.
Holly is an indie Author who has a blog on here that I follow. I’ve read a few of her writing snippets and they are amazing, not only that, they’re first drafts. UNEDITED. Can you imagine what a polished book will be like?! Ugh, can’t wait.
Avada Kedavra: A killer book.
HAH, there’s only one choice for this. Not only did it blow me away, but yeah, loooots of death. I will forever be sad that this Author hasn’t wrote anything else.
Confundo: A book you find confusing.
The book I’m choosing is most likely going against the crowd. I never got over the sudden switch of style and theme from the first book. *PHWOOSH* You hear that? It’s all the subtext from the last two books flying over my head.
Expecto Patronum: Your spirit animal book.
Hmm, this is super hard. I don’t really identify with books in this way. (Particularly the kind I read.)
I remember being incredibly moved by this book, (I.E. Bawling my eyes out). I can’t pinpoint what it is, but I felt so connected to the main character, Tiffany. Not exactly spirit animal, but the best I can do.
Sectumsempra: A dark, twisted book.
I knew immediately which book to choose. It was less the plot and an insight into what alcohol can do to a person that I found truly dark.
Apparecium: A book that surprised you in a great way.
I had to think about this one too. (I forget what I’ve read!) Ah, last year, I read a book by an indie author. I remember reading the blurb and loving it and took a chance. It was short, (MAJOR shame), but I remember thinking, “Wow, this is really good!” I’m still sad by how short it is. I’d love for it to be lengthened into a full novel.
Phew, that was hard, but fun! I tag:
