Jingle all the way film review

UK release date: 6/12/96

Runtime: 89 minutes

Directed by: Brian Levant

Starring: Jake Lloyd, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad, Phil Hartman, Rita Wilson, Robert Conrad, Jim Belushi

On Christmas Eve, two fathers are both trying to get a turbo man action figure for their child.

I don’t know how anyone can watch this film and not be smiling all the way through. It’s an OTT, action filled, doesn’t take itself seriously, festive delight. There’s lots of zany scenes. It puts every minute to good use and there’s never a lull.

I love this film. It’s one of those Christmas films that I’m guaranteed to watch every year. It’s just something different from the heartfelt, moving ones, which I like too!

Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for his action movies, yet I think I’ve liked him in all the few comedies he’s done. He’s amazing in this film. Sinbad is counter part is equally amazing and they bounce off each other well. Their scenes together are my favourite of the entire film.

If you haven’t watched this then I recommend it. Especially if you’re a fan of action comedies.

To sum up, Action packed, funny, fast paced

Was it worth the watch? Yes

Would I re-watch? Yes

Stars: 5/6

This is one of my childhood classics. Arnold’s acting, without being in any particular way astonishing, is just hilarious. Totally agree on it being a re-watchable movie.
